Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, Western MAHow to book a dinner theater showHow to book a dinner theater show We are available for private parties for companies, birthdays, wedding rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, etc. If your company is looking for a team building event, this could be just what you are looking for. We also offer special rates for fund raisers. Our shows usually take about 2 1/2-3 hours including dinner and dessert. Following is a breakdown of times for our regular shows. 6:00-6:15 seating 6:30 salads are served and the characters mingle with the audience so the audience will know who everone is before the show starts. This also gives the actors a chance to see who wants to be involved and who just wants to watch. 7:00 the salad plates have been cleared and act one begins. This usually lasts about 30 minutes depending on the show. Once we clear the room from act one, dinner is served. Once the plates are cleared we go in and perform act two. Lasting about 10-20 minutes this is the part of the show where people accuse each other and the audience gets to ask questions of the suspects. We then have them fill out the sleuth sheets while they are having dessert. Once we have figured out the winners, we wrap up with act 3 and end the show about 15 minutes later with introductions and awards. If we start on time, we are usually done by 8:45-9:00. A lot depends on how into it the audience gets. If they are having a ball and interjecting a lot during the show, it could be longer but that is a good window. We have done shows in many different restaurants in MA, CT, VT, NH and NY. We have also done shows in church basements, School cafeterias, Elks clubs and on town commons. We like to max out at about 120 people for sound purposes. You also lose the personal touch we are known for once it gets to be too large a crowd. We do have body mics if the number goes over the 120 mark but they cost $600.00 to rent for one night. The most people we have performed for was 325. We had a lot of fun but didn't get to nearly enough people in the audience. Some of which probably really appreciated that. For information on pricing feel free to contact Ken Adams or call 1-413-774-9844. If you call you will get Adams Direct Mail Services. This is my "I have to work to pay the bills" job.
